Eco Tourism at its best; Off grid luxury Resort with unforgettable Astronomical experiences, Emu Safari and ReGen Farm
There are many spectacular places to visit and amazing accommodation to stay in all around Australia. “Very unique” is bandied about, a bit like “Awesome” when you hand over your credit card payment to a 19 year old. So how nice is it when you get to describe a rare combination of place, a farm, a business, opportunities, lifestyle and quality systems to underpin it all as unique in the true sense of the word.
Dark Sky Resort is an emu farm with emu safaris for guests; yurt-style accommodation great for socialising; it provides a home in bushland setting with stunning views of the Warrumbungles; your own private telescope with startling skies by night and day; bush walking in an ancient landscape, beautiful wildflowers and heritage caves.
It takes a while to take it all in. Primarily it is an ecotourism business accessing all the assets of 2, almost adjacent, properties: the farm is 80 acres with 2 homes and workers accommodation; the bushland home is on 104 acres.
You can buy this today and start tomorrow with tourists booked; continue on with just how everything is set up and earn an excellent income. Easily expanded if you wish.
As a fully off grid Eco Resort, sustainability is a focus so guests enjoy impactful, comfortable and memorable experiences that are easy on the environment.

FLEXIBILITY AND THE FUTURE
This is a true gem with ecotourism at its finest. All set in beautiful bushland and regenerated farming land. Be inspired by the design and implementation of highest standards so all you need to do is bring your own energy and ecopreneurship. Guests praise loudly as they come to relax and getaway only to find they are completely charmed by emus and the startling skies.
The smaller yurt is ideal for an owner/manager with all infrastructure, veggie gardens, systems management and workers accommodation all in the precinct.
Or, you could just as easily live in the bushland homestead and rent out both yurts for the eco tourism guests, immediately doubling your income.
The current business model can be rapidly expanded, or you can continue a very nice work/life balance. If you want to use the bushland house for private use only, the assets of the land can still be accessed by guests. Extending the Skywatching, Heritage tours and Bushwalking to visitors to the Warrumbungles, and other regional businesses, is limitless.
Potential additional accommodation has been researched, including a motel and café. In particular, extending the sky watching experiences with a “clear dome stay” concept where 1-5 profitable additions have been significantly progressed. Ideal to support the trend for Glamping, Experiential Tourism, Star Bathing, Nature Based Tourism. Please request further details to be sent to you. The current owners are also happy to provide project management and consultation for this business development.
You could consider ‘paddock to plate’ for guests, or convert to organic farming, or to grow your own vegetables. There is a ‘market garden’ paddock the chooks are currently enjoying. Bees and honey are already established. One of the laneways would be perfect for orchard plantings. The worker’s accommodation is ideal for seasonal workers or to extend for Glamping and lower cost accommodation. Systems have been established so that water and power will provide expansion of accommodation and/or farming.
Currently the land is used for emus and goats, but with the 6 foot fencing you can bring whatever animals you wish knowing they are protected from predators. This fencing also means the regenerating land continues to build its biodiversity. Swales are in place and land management and water systems means the land is highly suitable for your own choice of animals.
The guests love their emu safari, talking to the emus and learning all about them, or just watching them from the deck whilst they wander the paddocks. Their eggs are spectacular.
Here is an animal used by the Aboriginals as an important food source, the fat for oil and medicine, bones for knives, tendons for string, and feathers for ceremonial adornments.
Emus can be bred commercially for their meat, skin, oil, eggs and feathers. All birds used for commercial emu farming must be derived from farm-reared or captive stock. Emus are protected in New South Wales by the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016 (BC Act). It is illegal to take emus or emu eggs from the wild. Our prediction is that emu will become a gourmet food over the next 5 years and this farm is ready, set, go with an animal highly suitable for the Australian farming future.
Ask us for details of emu farming and financials.
The established eco off-grid lifestyles have created significant additional benefits which can be utilised in the ecotourism marketing and are key assets in ownership of these properties and businesses: Reduced environmental impact; Energy independence; Financial savings; Self-sufficiency; Connection with nature.
